Open Reviewers Training

From August 17 to September 14, 2022, the Africa Bioethics Network conducted an online Open Reviewers Training program in collaboration with AfricArXiv, Eider Africa, eLife, PREreview, and the Training Centre in Communication Africa. This international initiative drew participants from twelve countries, including Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, Liberia, and South Africa, as well as from Spain, Japan, and Chile. The program aimed to enhance skills in open peer review, promoting transparency and rigor in scholarly evaluation. Through expert-led sessions, participants gained practical knowledge in ethical reviewing practices, strengthening a culture of accountability and integrity in global research and publishing.
